He first worked as a tailor in Smithfield, Orange Free State, later in about the 1950s in Frankfort, Orange Free State and in about 1965 in Theunissen, Orange Free State. In Theunissen he worked for a company named Dolfies Outfitters and sometimes he would work privately from home. [7]
